Mever desktop app: Your video and audio files never leave your Mac — they are processed entirely on your device. When you type an editing instruction, the text of your instruction and project metadata (such as clip names, timeline structure, and text overlay content) are sent to our server, which forwards them to the Anthropic Claude API for processing. We do not transmit your actual media files (video, audio, or images) to any external server.

Website: When you visit our website, we may collect standard analytics data such as page views, browser type, and referring URLs through third-party analytics services. This data is anonymized and used to improve the website experience.

Purchase information: When you purchase Mever, your payment and billing information is collected and processed by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy . We receive your name and email address for license delivery and support purposes.

Feedback data: When you submit a bug report or feature request through the in-app chat, we collect the content of your report, including a summary, reproduction steps or use case description, and the relevant portion of your conversation. You may optionally provide a contact email address to allow us to follow up with you. This data is stored on our servers and used solely to improve the product.

4. Data Storage

Your video, audio, and image files remain on your local device and are never uploaded to external servers. Text instructions sent for AI processing are not stored by our proxy server. Feedback submissions (bug reports and feature requests), including any contact email address you voluntarily provide, are stored on our servers for product improvement purposes.
